Kawah Ijen
Kawah Ijen, one of Java’s most iconic volcanic craters, offers a truly unique adventure. With cooler air and rugged terrain, this hike is unlike any other, leading to a stunning yet harsh landscape.
As I neared the crater, the view became more dramatic, with towering cliffs and the striking turquoise lake below. The lake, though beautiful, is highly acidic, and the air is filled with sulfur fumes, essential to the local miners’ livelihood.
